This Medical Treatment Policy outlines the terms under which International Pause Institute provides medical treatment and care through its services, including in-person consultations, telehealth appointments, and any associated online resources. This policy ensures a transparent understanding between the clinic and its patients regarding treatment expectations, limitations, and responsibilities.
This policy applies to all patients receiving care from the International Pause Institute, its licensed medical professionals, and its administrative staff. It includes but is not limited to the following services:
1.1 Patients must be at least 18 years of age to access services unless parental or legal guardian consent is provided, where applicable.
1.2 Patients must provide complete and accurate health information, including medical history, current medications, and relevant lifestyle details.
2.1
Personalized Treatment Plans
:All treatments are tailored to individual needs based on comprehensive assessments conducted by licensed practitioners.
2.2
Educational Resources
:The website and associated materials may provide general health information but are not substitutes for personalized medical advice.
2.3
Non-Emergency Services
:The clinic does not provide emergency medical care. In case of a medical emergency, patients are instructed to contact emergency services immediately such as dialing 911 or going to your closest emergency department
3.1 Patients will receive a detailed explanation of the proposed treatment plan, including potential benefits, risks, alternatives, and costs.
3.2 Written consent is required before initiating any treatment. Patients may withdraw consent at any time.
4.1 Telehealth consultations comply with applicable state and federal laws regarding patient confidentiality and medical licensure.
We offer virtual consultations via telemedicine, providing you with access to our experts from the comfort of your home. It is expected that the patient be located within a state that our practitioners are licensed at the time of the telemedicine service. Currently we are servicing New Jersey and New York.
By scheduling a telemedicine appointment, you consent to receiving care via virtual means. You acknowledge the limitations of telemedicine and that it may not be as comprehensive as in-person care.
Telemedicine may not be appropriate for all conditions. If necessary, we may recommend in-person consultations to ensure the highest level of care.
4.4 Patients must have access to a secure and private location for telehealth appointments.
5.1
Compliance: Patients are expected to follow prescribed treatment plans and inform practitioners of any changes in health status or concerns.
5.2
Communication: Patients must provide accurate contact information and respond promptly to clinic communications regarding their care.
5.3
Financial Responsibility: Patients are responsible for all costs associated with their treatment, including any fees for missed or canceled appointments not adhering to the clinic’s cancellation policy.
6.1 Practitioners will provide care that adheres to the highest professional standards and evidence-based practices.
6.2 All medical professionals will maintain appropriate licensure and undergo regular training in their field.
6.3 Confidentiality of patient information will be strictly maintained, as outlined in the clinic's Privacy Policy.
7.1 Services are offered on a cash-pay basis unless explicitly stated. Payment plans may be available at the clinic’s discretion.
7.2 Insurance coverage is not accepted; however, patients may request documentation for submission to their insurance provider for reimbursement purposes.
8.1 The clinic reserves the right to discontinue care if a patient fails to comply with treatment recommendations, engages in inappropriate behavior, or otherwise violates this policy.
8.2 Patients will receive adequate notice and referral information if care is discontinued.
9.1 International Pause Institute is not liable for outcomes outside the scope of reasonable medical care as determined by applicable standards of practice.
9.2 Patients acknowledge that no treatment guarantees specific results, and individual outcomes may vary.
10.1 Any disputes arising from this policy or the treatment provided will first be addressed through mediation.
10.2 If mediation fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of New Jersey
11.1 This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in services, laws, or clinical practices.
11.2 Patients will be notified of significant changes prior to their effective date.
